Wendy Webber Nelson, PhD
Dr. Wendy Webber Nelson is a biotechnology leader and founder of the Boston Biotech Forum, a leading platform connecting innovators across biotech and pharma. She is Managing Partner at Dreavent Capital, serves on the board of SciShield, acts as a Business Advisor for ModernVivo and Cytimmune Biosciences, and is a Venture Partner with Waterman Ventures.
With over 25 years of experience spanning biotech, big pharma, CROs, and startups, she has held leadership roles including Chief Business Officer at Danforth Advisors and CEO of LeadingBiotech. Earlier, she managed business development for multiple global CROs and oversaw project management at Alantos Pharmaceuticals during its $300M acquisition by Amgen. Wendy holds ScB, MS, and PhD degrees from Brown University, has authored numerous patents and scientific publications, and has been active in advocacy and mentoring programs within the biotech community.

Jiří Procházka is a professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Before joining the UFC, he became the inaugural champion of both the Rizin Fighting Federation and the Gladiator Fighting Championship, earning global recognition for his dynamic and entertaining fighting style. In 2022, he made history with a victory over Glover Teixeira at UFC 275, claiming the World MMA Champion title.
Jiří holds a Master’s Degree in Special Education for Security Forces from the Faculty of Sports Studies at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. With more than a decade of professional competition across three continents, he is widely respected as both an elite athlete and a cultural ambassador for the Czech Republic. Inspired by the principles of bushidō—discipline, humility, and continuous self-improvement—Jiří’s philosophy resonates beyond combat sports, motivating people to pursue resilience and balance in all aspects of life.
